Link to the Air Fryer

This is probably one of my favorite kitchen devices. If you haven’t jumped on the air fryer bandwagon, you need to! It is such a great way to cook healthier dishes with little to no oil. The way the technology works is that it circulates hot air to make healthier versions of typical fried foods. It is also a much quicker approach than roasting something in the oven. Asparagus, green beans, kale chips, you name it, I simply put them in the air fryer for about 9 minutes and they come out perfect. I also use it for a bunch of my recipes such as my bagels and lox, cinnamon rolls, etc.

There are a lot of air fryer options out there. After reading many reviews I decided to buy this GoWise 3.7QT Air fryer about two years ago and I absolutely love it. I debated going with the 5.8 QT or the 3.7 QT. I ended up ordering them both and felt like the 5.8 QT was a bit too big for my kitchen counter. The 3.7 QT has been perfect for me and I usually cook for 2 people. See the picture below to get a sense of the size and how it looks in my kitchen. If you are trying to feed a family, it may be worth considering the 5.8 QT. Lastly, GoWise has a couple of color options. I ordered both the black and white and ended up liking the white version more. Below is my take on how this product performs across 5 categories.

Lastly, if you are looking for ideas of air fryer recipes, I highly recommend the following air fryer recipe book from one of my favorite healthy food bloggers, Skinnytaste.

Product Review

Performance: 5/5

I’ve had this product for almost 2 years and it works like a charm. I’ll admit I don’t use the presets that often, but it is nice that it has them. You can easily set the temperature and time, and it alerts you once the food is ready. It also comes with a recipe book with guidelines on recommended frying time.

Easy to Clean: 4/5

The reason I gave it a 4/5 is that you have to wash it by hand and cannot put it in the dishwasher. That said, it is pretty easy to clean, especially since the base detaches (see picture above).

Easy to Use: 5/5

The buttons and presets make it really easy to use. Read through the instructions once and you’ll be good to go. The fact that the basket detaches from the base makes it super easy to empty the content and serve the food.

Aesthetics: 5/5

This is probably the best part of the product. It is absolutely beautiful. It feels like I have a sleek, futuristic robot sitting on my counter. I’ve gotten so many compliments on how nice it looks.

Worth It?

100%. This is a staple in my kitchen. It helps me pull together healthy meals in no time and I can cook guilt-free versions of some of my favorite “fried” foods  (e.g. churros, cinnamon rolls, bagels, etc.). I would highly recommend this product. It is also super affordable and worth the price paid.

Full disclosure, I write these blogs in my spare time. I do not have an editor and am the only one who reviews the content. As a result, it is likely I’ll have the occasional typo or grammar mistake. If you find anything, feel free to let me know.

Lastly, I’ll admit food photography is not my forte. If you make the recipe and have a better picture, please share and I will happily post it and give you photo cred!
