Link to the Egg Poacher
I love poached eggs. They are a one of the healthiest ways to cook eggs and can add a bit of flair to any meal. The only struggle with poached eggs is making them. I tried endless approaches (boiling water and adding vinegar, getting egg poaching cups, etc) and it was always a hassle or didn’t quite work right. My breakfast game was forever changed when I stumbled across this product. This gem gets you poached eggs in less than a minute without the hassle of boiling water of anything of the sort. It’s perfect for the mornings where I am super busy with work or need to pull together a quick breakfast. Below is my take on how the product performs across 5 categories.
Product Review
Performance: 4/5
I gave this a 4/5 because it takes some iterations to get the timing right so that the eggs don’t overcook. You’ll have to test it out a bit given the power of your microwave and how cooked you want the eggs. Heads up you will hear some popping in the microwave. Some popping is ok, a ton of popping might mean your are overcooking. Here are my timing recommendations for how long you should cook the egg in the microwave:
- 1 egg: 35 seconds
- 2 eggs: 52 seconds
Easy to Clean: 5/5
This one is a breeze! I just put it in the dishwasher and it cleans without a problem. I’ve had this thing for about 3 years and probably run it through the dishwasher every other day. It is still in top shape.
Easy to Use: 5/5
This takes two seconds. Literally all you have to do is crack the eggs, put the cover, and stick it in the microwave.
Aesthetics: 5/5
It’s got a cool design to it and is pretty easy to store.
Worth It?
100% yes. This makes my life so much easier and is a staple in my kitchen. Any time friends have seen me use it they have asked me for the link to buy it. So far my entire family has bought it along with 4 other friends. I would highly recommend it. It is also super affordable and worth the price paid.
Full disclosure, I write these blogs in my spare time. I do not have an editor and am the only one who reviews the content. As a result, it is likely I’ll have the occasional typo or grammar mistake. If you find anything, feel free to let me know.
Lastly, I’ll admit food photography is not my forte. If you make the recipe and have a better picture, please share and I will happily post it and give you photo cred!
